West for a While

Well, I've been chasing you for far too long, and everything I thought was right ended up being wrong. So really, I think it's about time I moved along. Yeah, I'll be going. I'm going West, but not forever. I'm moving away from the sun. I just need a little time to find a joy that's mine. Don't worry I'll be fine. I'm going West for a while. I'm sure that there's a reason I made it this far, but for a long time now I've been carrying a heart torn apart. And you can't help me fix it. You are too worried about your own, So I'll be going. I'm going West, but not forever. I'm moving away from the sun. I just need a little time to find a joy that's mine. Don't worry I'll be fine. I'm going West for a while. I hope to look back someday on this and smile, but this is for the best. Let me go West. Oh, I'll keep going West for a while. I'm going West, but not forever. I'm moving away from the sun. I just need a little time to find a joy that's mine. Don't worry I'll be fine. I'm going West for a while.

Wrong 02:31
I was lookin' to my left instead of lookin' to my right. Had I been lookin' to my right, maybe everything would have turned out alright. But I thought the best of you, Did not account for the rest of you, and now with the past in view, I see that I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. Now in a city completely new, you called me on the phone. And you callin' me on the phone reminded me why you're all alone. And this adventure's been slow to start, but I'll take it over a broken heart. Now I've got this memorable mark to remind me where I went wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong. At the end of the day, I will turn out okay. Maybe someday, you'll even say, "Who's that graceful girl walkin' my way?" Wish I could say the same for you, but you've got some growin' left to do. Stringin' along who you don't want, then moving on, like you didn't do a damn thing wrong. I was lookin' to my left instead of lookin' to my right. Had I been lookin' to my right, maybe everything would have turned out alright.

This is the time. I can feel it in my bones. With just one look, you could rewrite all I know. Look at me go, running away with this idea. I always do, like a love-hungry fool. I'm down on my knees, one hand on my heart. The other one's crossing fingers, waiting for this to start. Oh I'm praying to the Lord, and the devil on the side that you're gonna do it, you're gonna get this right. I'm praying to the Lord, and the devil on the side. I'm addicted to hope. It's a natural high, forgetting about the crash waiting on the other side. Look at me go, I've got a smile on like this is real. And my mind, well it's full of what you possibly feel. I'm down on my knees, one hand on my heart. The other one's crossing fingers, waiting for this to start. Oh I'm praying to the Lord, and the devil on the side that you're gonna love me, and I'll call somebody mine. I'm praying to the Lord, and the devil... And the devil... Oh, the devil... I heard selling your sell is a foolish exchange, but what if mine's already worn and weary? What if selling my soul means that I get you? The question then becomes, are you worth what I'm willing to do? 'Cause I'd trade anything, in return for something true. So I'm down on my knees, one hand on my heart. The other one's crossing fingers, waiting for this to start. Oh I'm praying to the Lord, and the devil on the side that you'll come running, make this wishing worth my time. Oh, I'm praying to the Lord, praying to the Lord, Oh I'm praying to the Lord and the devil on the side.

You are my soft place to land. When nothing in my life makes sense, I know you'll understand where I'm coming from and where I'm going to. You are the words I can't seem to find. If we lose our way down this road, I don't mind. It's something I can't explain, but I'll never complain because you are a safe place for me. You are a wall on which I can lean. You know if I say it wrong exactly what I mean. What we have is comfortable. You are the soles of my favorite shoes. If I can't decide, you won't force me to choose. It's something I can't explain, but I've found my way in, and you are a safe place for me. When the walls start caving in, when the water is so deep I can't swim for long, when my hands are weak and cold and alone, you take them in yours and you lead me home. It's something I can't explain, but here I'll remain because you are a safe place for me.
